Vanuatu Transport Sector Support Project -Phase 1 Implementation Management
In association with URS International Development (Australia), OCA provided technical implementation management / directorship and resourced specialist project personnel for the implementation of the first phase of the programme (from October 2009 - July 2012). Specifically the project developed island based contracting and implementation capacity on three outer islands Tanna, Malekula and Ambae, deleveloped and improved PWD procurement and outsourcing capacity and implemented backlog road maintenance and rehabilitation works through direct supervised equipment hire arrangements. Preliminary design studies for the Vanuatu Transport Sector Support Project -
OCA assisted AusAID in the scoping and quantification of road maintenance and rehabilitation works and proposed implementation modalities in the approach to develop sustainable capacity in the islands in planning, programming, costing and implementation of road maintenance and rehabilitation of rural roads and tracks.
